"Breakfast buffet is worth the extra cost. The bed was comfortable, great shower pressure, clean room, great location. The staff were very helpful with advice and recommendations. If I go back I would definitely stay and highly recommend for your stay. Close to the subway system which is great for getting around. The hotel is in responsible for this statement. Please be careful of the criminal activity that goes on in the city of Barcelona. And do not use Uber! Use taxis. Or subway. "

"Our connected rooms were clean, light-colored, small but comfortable, and quiet. The beds, pillows, and linens were very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious (though had no fan), and the shower had a large showerhead with decent water pressure. The mini-fridge had complimentary water and juice bottles, and an electric kettle with packets of tea and instant coffee were also provided. The buffet breakfast was pretty good and probably a good deal if you prepay the daily rate for your entire stay (and ate there every morning) but maybe less a deal if you don't do that. The staff were very friendly and helpful with check-in, check-out, and local dining recommendations."

"Location: great, near the beach and marina and shopping areas. Near cafes, restaurants and the veiw from balcony to Gothic Quarter. Noise only in nights of the weekend, Big rooms with good design. Toilet is clean, good space supplied all our requirements. But the shower needs more glass isolation to avoid water spilling to the floor. Checking in needs to go first to nearby hotel, not a problem. The safe was broken , the team offered to repair. Great Coffee machine in the room with available pods.. I liked it. 2 adults and 2 children: the room was enough for all. The roof is nice for afternoon or night tea and even smoking if you wish. I would advise to try this stay. This location is fantastic, right near the beach marina and shopping areas. You’re also close to cafes restaurants and enjoy a great view of the Gothic Quarter from your balcony. The noise is only a bit of a nuisance on weekend nights. The rooms are spacious and well-designed with clean toilets and ample space to meet all our needs. However, the shower could benefit from more glass insulation to prevent water from spilling onto the floor. Checking in is a bit of a hassle as you need to go to a nearby hotel first. Fortunately, the team offered to repair the broken safe. The coffee machine in the room is a great feature with available pods. I particularly enjoyed it. The room comfortably accommodates two adults and two children. The roof is perfect for afternoon or evening tea and even smoking. "

"Really enjoyed our stay at Catalonia Avinyo. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. Had my best coffee here and wines from the bar vary nice (and we're fussy). Very close to Leuce metro and La Rambla. Irish pub across the road served simple but delicious hamburgers when we were too tired to go further afield. "

"Great location and generally nice hotel, Not sure if we just got a bad room but I was certainly expecting more for the price. Our room definitely needed renovation or at least some serious tlc. During the night we could hear the plumbing when another room flushed the loo, this woke us up. "
