"Overall we had a pleasant stay. We stayed for 1 night as we were visiting Chatsworth house the next day, and the location was convenient. The check-in process was smooth, staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was pretty standard, spacious, comfy bed. On site parking was decent The only things I can say negatively was the shower wasn't great, the toilet had a really weak flush. The floor was very creeky, and there was quite a bit of noise coming from the room above in the morning."

"I only stayed one night but was brilliant from checking in to checking out the hotel is amazing so well looked after very clean very posh the staff were also awesome very welcoming very helpful all I can say its a must visit"

"The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were staying to do the MacMillan Mighty Hike in Bakewell which meant leaving before breakfast, the staff made us sausage sandwiches to take with us so we’d have food before starting our hike. The atmosphere in the hotel was very pleasant with locals enjoying the bar and outdoor area along with guests. Our evening meal and breakfast on our second morning was delicious, served promptly and staff popped over to ensure everything was ok. The bedroom we stay in was clean and well kept and the views were stunning also!"

"The Cavendish Hotel was the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. From the warm, friendly staff to the beautiful 😻 surroundings. The room was very tasteful and well organised. The restaurant offered high quality food and drinks. Overall an amazing experience."

"We stayed in Gatsby house for 2 nights. Excellent location in the centre of Bakewell, beautiful setting next to the river. Better than expected with individual access to the property. It was lovely to sit in the communal garden with a drink after exploring Bakewell. Really comfortable space and plenty of room for 6 friends (3 couples) so we had a bedroom to spare! Excellent amenities in the property, everything you could need for a self catering weekend away. Richard was extremely helpful and made check easy with a warm welcome. Highly recommend Millstream mews for anyone visiting Bakewell x"

"Very clean room & the free parking is a great asset when staying in Bakewell. We had the Hathersage room which was a decent size & had a private bathroom. Since it's on a main road it may be a little noisy for some. Overall would recommend."

"Lovely place. Staff was wonderful. Breakfast was a delight sitting outside. The room was clean and meet our needs but very small. For one night while touring it was fine but if staying a few days of all for the largest room they have. Ours might have been an outlier size wise. Otherwise it was a great place. The town is small and quiet and very near Bakewell which has more to see and do. Also near the Chatsworth Estate worth visiting and the Monsal Trail' great for bike rental and walking."
