"Very nice property in a great location. Short walk to the painted laidies, restaurants and shops on Divisedero. Bus stop right there to take directly to the Fillmore, Castro, lower Haight, or the Mission."
"Staying at Chateau Tivoli was like stepping into a beautifully preserved piece of history. This Victorian-era mansion offers a rare blend of elegance, charm, and warmth.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel like honored guests in a private home. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the stately double parlor with wine and cheese, and the breakfast was both delicious and thoughtfully presented.
Chateau Tivoli is a must-stay. We can’t wait to return!"

"We stayed in the 'premier' building/room. It was nice to spend time on the balcony with a great view of the city. Our room had many nice extra's - lighted makeup mirror, bathmat, refrigerator, scale, toothbrush/toothpaste, mouthwash and a very comfortable couch and king size bed. We could not have been happier with the cleanliness of the room and daily housekeeping. The room was very quiet for sleeping. We will be returning on our next trip to San Francisco."
"Amazing. Stayed for the Grateful Dead’s 60th Anniversary shows by Dead and Co. I drove. On the way I thought of my first concert “The Dead Kennedys”. When I arrived I was put in a room named after the lead singer Jello Biafra, amazing coincidence. The parking lot was great (spot 23 my favorite number). The suitcase easily rolled into the elevator which led right to the room. So easy to unpack my 4 suitcases and have them in the room in 5 minutes or less. The room looked great. The beds were super comfortable. The shower had a wide spray. "
"A beautiful hotel with a wonderful, attentive staff. Deluxe double queen room was lovely and quiet.
The only potential negative is the neighborhood. Though nicely situated to Union Square and public transportation such as cable cars and muni, about a block in the other direction may be the start of the sketchiest part of the city— an area that was dirty and depressed with a very large, visible homeless population. My family never had an issue with this, but we made sure to stay clear. Nevertheless, I would gladly revisit the hotel. "
