"If you like artistic or different from status quo, this is the place to stay when in the area. You get the artist vibe upon walking in the front door. I was greeted with a smile and welcomed immediately. A room was ready for me even though I was early. My room was perfect in every way. Just what I needed. All I can say is they were eager to please and be helpful. Pet friendly. To see a dog is a good thing. Loved the in room pour over coffee, fridge, microwave, yoga mat, and roller. I do hope to stay again sometime."
"I have a great experience there. Check in was quick, friendly staff. My room was clean, and in perfect conditions. Warm and hot water. New updated furniture and bathrooms. Perfectly clean showers. Air conditioner working perfectly. Breakfast in the morning was great as well. Well stocked, variety. There was a problem with one of the waffle makers only one was working so I have to wait for 30 minutes for two waffles but other than that I never have a problem with my breakfast. Valet parking is expensive like 60 dollars. But you can park around the area free, I have no problem parking around. "
"The hotel had heaps of character! I absolutely adored the room that I stayed in. You could very walk to the subway and be in Manhattan within a few minutes! I had forgotten to pack soap and shampoo, but it was no matter - the shampoo and amenities at The Box House were wonderful to use. If you are having an overnight, or an extended stay in NYC. Keep The Box House on your radar!"
"It was nice. The front desk guy wouldn't let us check in with just my id even though it was under my name he wanted the itinerary or he wanted an extra 15$ in cash to check in. I've never had that happen. The room had no garbage can, no phone, no ice bucket or bags, no coffee or tea maker, no remote for the tv which never worked once we got a remote for it. It was a very small room with a very large bathroom. The shower was set so high that when you turned it on it went out of the shower curtain. The internet never worked so we couldn't even set anything up. Went down to the front desk around 11pm to try and find the ice machine and there was a sign that said will be back please text me. We never found the ice machine and we never heard back from anyone. "
