Hotels near Major's Bay

"AC leaked onto the bed. Mattress was terribly uncomfortable (only hotel of 15 I’ve stayed in all year to cause backaches). Cockroach in the hallway and it was huge. Housekeeping skipped us one night- had to request it for night 3. Coffee in room was very bitter- turns out it was expired! I asked to speak to the manager a few times but she wasn’t available. The location is nice but I cannot recommend this place. "

"Super convenient and very good quality food and beverage services. The proximity and quality of the beach and pool facilities make this property spectacular. During our ten day stay it was never annoyingly crowded. Location is easy to get to from Lihue and adjacent to Kōloa where more food options and shopping abound. We choose Kauai over other islands because it projects more of a laid back, old Hawaii vibe. This property oozes all of that. We will be back!!"

"Cute, qaint historical cottages dot the landscape of this beautiful well maintain property. Love the fact that there was a restaurant & bar on the property and the bonus is the food was wonderful! Loved the #86 cottage. Out favorite place was drinking coffee on the lanai, look out on the beautiful lush lawn and listen to the ocean hit the shore. It was paradise for us."

"The resort provides everything you need to have a great vacation. The grounds are especially beautiful and no detail is overlooked. "

"The property was great! We really wnjoyed how spacious the rooms were. The front desk has trais to borrow for the beach and coolers in the rooms! I would opt for a roomaway from the pool if possible. Quiet hours are 10pm and folks get pretty loud in the evenings at the pool. "

"Our stay was overall pleasant, but fell slightly short of expectations. We had booked an “ocean view” room anticipating a direct view of the ocean, however our room overlooked the pool and hot tub area instead. It was only upon arrival that we learned that “front ocean view” rooms are the ones that truly guarantee an ocean-facing perspective, which felt somewhat misleading at the time of booking. The bed was comfortable enough, though not particularly memorable, and while we didn’t have the opportunity to try the on-site dining, the beach itself was nice, though fairly standard. All in all, a decent stay, but I would recommend paying close attention to room categories to avoid any disappointment."
