Sheraton Dallas Hotel

"Having lived in Dallas for years, we never had a reason to stay at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel until a night out at the Meyerson Symphony Center gave us the perfect excuse. It certainly did not disappoint. The hotel is massive—multiple towers, tons of floors, and true to the "everything is bigger in Texas" motto. Our room was clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and fully functional. Throughout our stay, the staff was incredibly polite and helpful. Tip: Opt for the valet parking, as the public parking options require quite a long walk. On Saturday morning, we tried the breakfast buffet at Open Palette. At $25 per person, it offered excellent quality and a great variety of options. In today's economy, it’s well worth the price, especially given the stellar service. The city was hosting FIFA events, but despite the hustle and bustle, the waitstaff was exceptionally attentive and responsive the entire hour we were there. In short, it was a fantastic experience all around!"

"We arrived around 7:45pm. We had to stop in traffic to unload. I was in a pretty large truck, so not really ideal. There was a valet booth, but nobody was present. I went inside, and asked where the valet was. They said there should be one there. I went out, and looked around, and just down the sidewalk was the valet...talking to two provocatively dressed women...while he watched the fifa soccer games on the GIANT screen across the street. He saw me, and started to come to the valet booth. Then he heard the soccer crowd go crazy and turned to go back to see what happened in the soccer game. I told him he needed to be paying attention to his job, and he came back again. He put a smile on and took my keys and did his job from that point forward. Literally everything else about this hotel was great. Its an older hotel, so somethings get overlooked, but by and large, it was a decent stay. Pretty quiet in the room. We were on the 26th floor, and the view was spectacular. 4 out of 5 stars just because the valet couldnt break away from the game."

"1) The room didn't have a fridge. We requested one and they brought it but this is basic. 2) The pool on the 3rd floor is kind of dirty and you have to go up using the stairs. There's another pool on the 19th floor but it's only for 21+ (not family friendly). 3) The room is nice. 4) Location is perfect, close to everything."
