"The hotel and my room were generally clean and comfortable. Also, the location of the hotel close to Times Square, Broadway, restaurants, museums and other attractions was very good. Room service was good.
On the weaker side was customer service at the front desk. They answered questions but it felt as though you were really on your own here. Not much in the way of customer service or general helpfulness. Luggage was stored upon early arrival at no charge which was very good. But no help with getting luggage to my room. Elevators were old and very small. Hallway floors and walls were a bit drab.
I would stay here again due to good location and competitive room pricing. However, If you are lookin to be pampered or impress a significant other, there might be better choices out there. I was traveling solo, so it didn't matter. If I was bringing a woman with me on the next trip, I would explore other options that have better customer service, more amenities and a little more "WOW" factor. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate the AURA a 7, or maybe 7.5. Thanks."
