I had a really nice stay at the Ibis Budget Madrid Aeropuerto. The hotel and rooms were very clean, the room was quiet with excellent blackout blinds. There was lots of choice for breakfast and the food was good at dinner too. This is an excellent hotel to stay at if you need somewhere close to the airport.

The hotel is close to the airport, which is what we wanted. It's quite far from the city center, and logically, there aren't many restaurants nearby. I wouldn't consider it a five-star or even four-star hotel, but it's comfortable for spending the night and traveling to the airport the next day. The staff was incredible.

This place is a good budget option near the airport if you're looking to fly out the next day. The concrete ceiling in our room, as well as the shower being in the sleeping area, were a surprise. The reception and eating areas are clean and look nice, and the food was good. Know that they charge for their parking.

Newer hotel with rooms about average size for a European hotel. Everything was clean and nice. At first food options appear limited but there is a walk way over the highway with several local restaurants. We took the bus and connected to an underground train downtown. Costs about $10us a person and took about 40 minutes. Uber presence is strong everywhere even later in the day. Shuttle to the airport runs during the morning and evening. It’s about a 15 minute ride and costs $6 a person. Pick up and drop off is at the holiday inn express next door. If we hadn’t asked we would not have known. It’s a coach bus with plenty of comfortable seating. Overall excellent hotel for the price.

Remote spot

The room was small but perfectly adequate. My main concern was the remote location, much more than a 4 minute drive from the airport (+30 euros). Next time I’d just head into the city where more restaurants etc are available. This hotel restaurant was kind of like food service offerings, ok and unremarkable. I used the shuttle for 5 euros to return to airport, but the schedule is limited so you might get hit with another taxi. All said, it was a still clean, friendly hotel with good staff.

Ibis Budget hotels are the Ikea of hotel rooms. They are okay: clean, bed, shower, and a WC. Just enough floor space for your feet, not your luggage. The walls are particle board, barely painted over. It's a box with a bed inside. No thermostat, no control over the HVAC. How you can be an "airport hotel" and more than 30-minutes from the airport is beyond me. They share the shuttle with the Holiday Inn across the way, so plan time to lug your stuff over there. Staff was helpful.
