Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The pros outweigh the cons for sure. But to give a balanced review, I will discuss both. Pros: 1) The staff! Professional, eager to help, and friendly. We felt welcomed at all times. 2) The bedssss! Very comfortable and once I find out the make/model of the pillows, I will be ordering them for my home. Also, I always love when robes and slippers are in the room waiting! 3) Close to the metro and local train (a 5min brisk walk) including to and from the airport 4) It has a very nice gym and sauna. We were shocked it was not packed with other guests 5) Clean, clean, clean! 6) The music theme was great and thoughtfully carried out in multiple ways Cons: 1) Not enough channels in English (only 3 and those were news related). 2) Breakfast on the pricey side. I could not find any adequate pictures/good enough detailed reviews of the menu offerings to justify fronting the high price at the onset of booking for breakfast. Plus, the nearby train takes you into centro where there are many reasonably priced breakfast options. 3) Somehow I booked coming a day earlier than we actually arrived and I contacted the hotel weeks before our arrival but no solution was offered since it was non-refundable. I understand that but thought they could have at least offered something in return as a kind gesture. 4) It's in north Madrid, away from all the fun and action. Even with close transport it was daunting at times going to and from Sol
Amazing hotel. Everything was spotless. It should be said that pool and outdoor areas aren’t open for fall nor winter so they shouldn’t be advertised. Everything else phenomenal.
