"Basic room overlooking Sol square. Ideal location but the noise from the square was noticeable especially on Friday and Saturday night. The staff were helpful but breakfast was very basic. Room was clean. Not very gay !!"

"Helpful staff nearly always available. Very clean and beds made for us each day. On one early morning the lock jammed shut n the only toilets/shower available, with no one inside, and it took time for us to realise that no one was inside; so the facilities were out of use for an hour. However once the reception was staffed the staff sorted out the problem very quickly. Overall this was a very good place to stay, exceptionally convenient, and I would strongly recommend it."

"This plain hostel suits minimalists. Well Iocated on a quiet side street, there is street noise from revelers. Friendly, helpful staff, but missing things like hot water in kitchen to wash dishes, hotter water for showers. Kitchen has only microwave for cooking. Everything seems budgeted—no soaps, low lighting. No activities for hostelers. Good Wi-Fi. Plain. "

Our reservation said it included free breakfast but we never received a notice or saw anything available. Also The internet is very weak and the tv didn't work at all."

"Carlos and Jonny were a great help in all regards but the property really is a hostel and not a hotel. Unless you are ok with rustic hostel accommodations pick another property. The price is good for being on Grand Via and that was my criteria for a short stay in Madrid on the way home from 2 weeks in Asturius.
