The Green Man

The Green Man

10/10 Excellent
"All good; stayed before and will stay again. Breakfasts cooked to order are excellent, but they ran out of decaf tea this time, and only bananas at breakfast on the first day of our three day stay, and choice of breakfast cereals could be healthier (no muesli and only non-sugary option was wheatabix)."

Pilgrim Hotel

Pilgrim Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Great one night stay at the Pilgrim. The room was spacious and clean, albeit a bit faded - the ensuite in particular could have benefited from redecoration. However, it was still good value for money. Dinner was excellent, and far above the usual hotel standard: the crispy beef in sweet chilli sauce is highly recommended and my filled flatbread starter was also very accomplished. The Pilgrim has clearly found itself a talented chef, which makes the hotel very appealing for anyone who values great food. Overall, a great experience and I hope to stay here again soon."

The Royal Lodge

The Royal Lodge

8/10 Good
"The room would have been perfect however there was no air conditioning and the room was boiling. It was only possible to crack the window open. Staff were amazing really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was brilliant. We had a couple of meals that weren’t as described …. The lamb in lamb ragu was mince not pulled lamb and the noodles in the Chinese chicken were watery. The position of the hotel is ideal and we would return."

"It’s a real pub, so smokers and drinkers in the courtyard as we were shown to our room. Spotless and allowed to enter it early as it was ready for us. Staff were very welcoming and the choice and quality of breakfast was excellent."

The Radnorshire Arms Hotel

"A quaint old fashioned inn. Amenities a bit dated but all functioning. Bath with jets was a plus. Loved the provision of bottled water and little biscuits. Breakfast was a lovely continental affair. Only downside was the winding staircases that made taking luggage up and down difficult."
