"La Calcina hotel was perfect for our needs. Quiet, boutiquey hotel away from the bustling area of San Marco, but very conveniently located! Easy walking to all the sights and restaurants. Waterbus station right there. Food was very good. We will definitely stay here again!"

"I felt like I was going back in time with this quaint and charming hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, the room was spacious and beautiful, and the close proximity to the Basilica and Doge's Palace made this hotel a perfect spot. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, and if I'm back in Venice will definitely stay there. "
"We found the Staff very polite very helpful every morning we came down they wished us good morning. They made us stay all the more enjoyable.
The young staff in the breakfast area were also very helpful and very polite"
"Excellent hotel and restaurant. All the staff were wonderful and the room was spacious and clean (bath, mini bar and safe). Ivan and Valentino in the restaurant, in particular, were exceptional and catered to our needs very well, (we're interested in wine and have various dietary requirements including a nut allergy). The breakfast stood out, with a wide variety on offer and high quality.
The hotel is well situated for sights (but our of the bustle of the people) and the airport (esp. if you use the water taxi).
We really enjoyed this hotel and would like to come back.
We used the Turkish bath and steam room but we were a little disappointed regarding the temperature as it was a little cool for us.

"Very clean family room with 3 beds (1 queen, 2 twin trundle) in a separate house connected to the hotel with a lovely courtyard. The steep stairs and private entrance made it a wonderful place to recover from exploring Venice! Outrageously beautiful breakfast room & buffet with homemade cakes, hot eggs, bacon, fruits, cheese, croissants, coffee, tea, champagne, juices and more! Super friendly staff. Safe and secure! Along a canal near Peggy Guggenheim’s museum… about 30 minutes walking to St Mark”s or 5 minutes to the Vaporetta…"
"The hotel is fantastic. Close to the station, so not much luggage carrying exercise. The rooms are very clean, the staff is super gentle and the breakfast is all you can desire for a city break in Venice. I will definitely go back."
