Everything about our stay was wonderful. We arrived early morning. Though we could not check-in until 3pm, the staff safely stored our bags and offered a light bite while we waited (didn't charge). They were very helpful throughout our stay. We had a late flight and again on check-out, they stored bags and charged phones. The hotel is in a quiet area, but not far from the restaurant strip and probably a 10 minute walk from the bus station. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Loved our stay at Excess!

Our stay at Excess Hotel was amazing. From before we arrived until we checked out they were really helpful in getting us transportation, recommendations for food, and other things in the area. United Airlines cancelled our flight ten minutes prior to leaving and Anna was extremely helpful with getting us what we needed for transportation and if we needed to stay longer they were going to accommodate this We rented the executive suite with the sauna and the Turkish bath which my husband and I enjoyed both nights! A bottle of Persecco was awaiting us upon arrival and the breakfast was absolutely amazing! Marcello and Anna both made our stay incredible and we definitely received 5-star service. Our vacation was amazing and we definitely chose the right place to stay here. The garden was beautiful!

Excess Venice was everything we wanted in our stay in Venice! A little away from the main tourist area yet quickly and easily accessible via Vaporetto (water bus) or a 30 minute lovely walk through cobbled streets or along the waterfront to the main attractions. The rooms, amenities (coffee machine!), ambience, staff (thank you Anna especially) were faultless. We will definitely stay here any time we come to Venice!

Communication Expedia and this property was regarding the breakfast included. I did purchase the breakfast through Expedia, however, when I arrive, they said it was not included. I’m not sure where the breakdown of communication occurred. The facility was beautiful in comfort.

The Excess Venice Boutique Hotel is situated in a quiet backwater on the banks of a canal. It’s within a 25 minute wander to St Mark’s Square. The hotel has a lovely garden, where you can eat breakfast in the summer months. Our room was large, very clean and had everything we needed. The staff were lovely and welcoming. I would highly recommend the hotel for a relaxing break in Venice.

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Mini bar overpriced and a bit far out location wise if you want to be central. If you prefer the hustle and bustle this hotel isn’t for you.

Great staff and great location!

The staff at Excess Venice were an absolute delight and went above and beyond making sure we made the best of our stay and had access to unique experiences, like helping book a private boat ride on the canals. The location was perfect. Like others have said, it’s close to main areas a traveler would want to see but on a quiet street so you can get out of the crowds. The overall ambiance was great as well. Would highly recommend.

Not the best location for Venice - on the outer edge of the popular sights. I should have researched this better. Staff was somewhat difficult to deal with and not due to cultural differences.
