"In the title it’s listed as a hotel. It’s a room for rent in someone’s home. Not a bed and breakfast. Outside of the property it is filthy. Garbage, yard is not well kept. White plastic stained chairs. The flags that hang outside of the property are ripped and should be replaced. In my country it’s a disgrace to see a flag like that, The unit smells like mould. My throat and nose burnt from the smell. The inside of the unit is quaint but needs to be aired out. The bedroom sits on the side of a...
"Staff were friendly breakfast was fabulous and team that running it were so friendly and super nice. I give 0 out of 10 for bedding noisy and loud find some bedbugs.
0 out of 10 for internet connection and WiFi.

"I stayed at hotel Diana during my trip to Lucca for the summer music festival. The experience I had was wonderful and the staff were supper nice, helpful and accommodating. "
"We loved our stay in this beautiful property. Great location, very clean rooms with comfortable beds, welcoming staff, and they offer free parking on-site and a lovely breakfast."
"We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. A few things to note, though:
- the hotel is a good 15m walk from the walls of Lucca, so you need to plan your days as it’s not easy to pop back during the day, especially in the heat of August. Bike hire is extra - 35 euro a day.
- the pool is lovely - comfortable and a lovely space to relax. However, it’s only open from 10am - 7pm which was a shame as it’s not possible...
" Villa Volpi was lovely. The owner and staff were kind and accommodating. Food and wine were amazing and the infinity pool and views of the countryside breathtaking."

A lovely little city that is like stepping back in time and is a bit quieter than a lot of the bigger cities. The city can be seen in a day if you're willing to do a bit of walking and it's a perfect middle point to visit Pisa.

Lucca is a beautiful place, with fantastic views from the city walls. There is so much culture and history and so much for us to cram into two days. Will hopefully be back!

Perfect for a long weekend - very few cars, lots of restaurants and worth hiring a bike and cycling outside of the walls too.

A charming small city packed with great historic sites, music and other culture, dining, parks, family-friendly, facilities to rent bikes and areas for small children. Other cities of the world take note.

Very limited Uber and taxi options so keep in mind if planning an early or late train trip. That being said, the town is small and it was a 20 minute walk, but not easy with our wheeled luggage in cobblestone streets.

Lucca is a wonderful city to visit. I enjoyed my time here a lot more than Pisa. Lucca feels more laid back.

Great little town but got really crowded on Saturday. I would recommend avoiding a Saturday visit
"Great food. Great service. Very nice room. Great price. Can't say anything negative about this place. The chair was a bit wobbly: I mentioned to the staff and immediately they replaced it with a perfectly sturdy one. "
"We had a wonderful stay. The property was lovely and charming. We loved breakfast in the garden and the staff was so welcoming and friendly. We also loved the proximity to walking into the city. "
