Had supper in the restaurant, the goats cheese salad was pretty good. The grilled salmon was superb, beautifully cooked. However the Sticky Toffee Pudding was poor, both the pudding itself and the sauce. It was only partially saved by the acceptable scoop of ice cream that came with it. A restaurant that can grill salmon perfectly yet permit such a poor dessert is a genuine puzzle to me.

The hotel rooms are tired. No matter how hard the chambermaid cleans it, it looks old and filthy. New carpet for the whole common areas and rooms is extremely urgent. The Fitness Center is fine. The best area in the hotel.
