"Beautiful hotel, great location, immaculate and picturesque gardens. Rooms well decorated, clean, really can't complain about the aesthetics. Staff attentive. Breakfast choice very good and delicious. Our only complaint was the noise in the beer garden. The weather was really good, and so, attracted people (guests & non guests) to the beer garden. Music stopped playing at 1110, however, a number of people remained until approx 1am and were so loud, they (non guests) were asked by staff at 1220 to tone it down, they didn't. Another call made to reception and they finally left the garden at approx 1am. We're not party poppers, by an stretch, but it was too much - a simple policy to vacate that area at a certain time, would help going forward. We like to stay here, but will only come back if we knew that there was arestriction on noise levels after say 1130. Everything else 9 or 10/10."

"At first we were very disappointed that our anticipated stay at The Manor House was cancelled due to renovations being done just then. We were given a very nice room with a view over the course and Christchurch Village and every effort was made to make us happy. We had arrived by train and so on were on foot, but the concierge and the shuttle drivers were very kind, helping us to accomplish all that we had planned for our two days there. Breakfasts were bountiful and delicious…there was everything we could imagine to choose from. Although it’s a very large hotel, we were so impressed by how all the staff make a guest feel welcomed and cared for. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!"

"We had room 24. Could watch the house martins nesting while lying in bed. Amazing history. Needs some refurbishment but not surprising in an older property and everything worked. Enjoyed spa facilities. Staff were really helpful although not always accessible when needed. Excellent restaurant in Usk (Wallace steakhouse although not cheap) Seemed to be limited to one key per room. Overall we spent a couple of really nice nights (B&B) there."

"We were very pleased with our spacious room. The air con was a little too enthusiastic, so we switched it off. However, the dining room was freezing! We needed an extra layer there. It was a very warm week, so it needed to be on, just not quite as cold. The food was good, but our evening meal wasn't quite right at first. I have an intolerance to onions and despite informing the wait staff, the chef ignored the notes. This was soon rectified, but the mistake should not have been made. The staff were friendly and helpful. Near the motorway, so easy to travel from; the room was very quiet even though the hotel is on a busy main road. An enjoyable stay."
