"I was unaware of the hotel's renovation upon checking in. The elevator was out of service, the stairs were very narrow, and the room was tiny. The staff did not even ask how our stay was when we checked out, and we couldn't wait to leave. Fine for the price, but will never stay here again."

"Lobby is beautiful and the check in was smooth; however the room was not great. Dingy, dated, poorly set up- only outlet by the bed was connected to the large, blaring overhead light, so once turned off the outlet stopped functioning. Bathroom was dated and cramped with min counter space. Sheets did not fit bed and peeled off throughout the night. Just generally a very mediocre room for the price."

"I stayed here during a week of business etc and found the accommodations excellent for a long-ish stay. My room was the Purple Room - private bath, dining area, living room and separate bedroom. Clean, quiet, comfortable and appointed with everything one would need: Coffee maker, small fridge, microwave, dishes. Plenty of towels and storage in the bathroom. Big comfortable sectional sofa to lounge/work on. The staff is off site and responded quickly to text messages. The lock code provided easy and safe access to the room. VERY fun neighborhood - walking distance to everything, including Chicago's beautiful lakefront. "
