"The exterior of the hotel is very pretty and the inside is modern. The staff is not very helpful. The island is Lido is an older crowd which we loved because it kept it quiet and peaceful. However, we felt a bit judged by the hotel management due to our age (in our 30’s) and didn’t feel any hospitality. It was a good hotel and convenient to San Marco but not sure it’s worth the cost due to hospitality and general lack of kindness of the locals."

"The staff were very friendly and helpful upon arrival, offering information about the area and advice for getting around. The cleaning/service staff were also very friendly and cheerful. The room was nice and large, nice big bed and all the useful amenities such as a mini fridge, hairdryer, soaps and shower gels etc. It also had extra pillows and a thick blanket in case the nights got chilly. The aircon was perfect and not too loud and night. We were on the top floor and there's no lift so bit of a hike after a long day of exploring but I appreciate it's not always possible to fit a lift into a smaller building so can't fault that. The only negative I can think of is the water pressure for the shower was quite low, you couldn't use it while the toilet cistern was refilling as it would only dispense very hot water during that time. Everything else was great. It's in a quiet and peaceful area but it's very easy to catch a bus to the town centre and from there the rest of Venice is just a vaporetto away. Ideal for travellers who want to explore all over but get good value for money and a nice relaxed place to stay. Finally, the breakfast was really nice. Varied each day with different nibbles and flavours of pastry, fritatta etc. Definitely advise going for that if you stay here as you're not going to get good food like this anywhere near that cheap on the island."
