The staff was Excellent and very welcoming. The room/cabin was cozy and really fit in with the surroundings. Everything was very clean, and comfortable. We look forward to staying there again in the future.

By far the best experience in lodging I have ever had in this area. Staff made us feel like family. Privately owned and you can tell heart and soul are put in to your experience

The cabin was so adorable and cozy, it was perfect for a little getaway, I wish I would have extended my stay. We’re definitely talking about coming back up to Tahoe soon and staying at the black bear lodge again!

Very nice & quiet peaceful setting. Lovely grounds, low density, easy parking & great service. Owner operators were very attentive and we will likely stay here again.

The location is very good, close to a supermarket and many restaurants. The room we were given in the main building was very noisy. The noise from the kitchen extractor fan downstairs and from the laundry room was a problem.

Lodge in Tahoe

We loved staying here! Unfortunately we had a last minute change to our stay but Dana was able to accommodate us and made sure we were taken care of. The room was spacious and we appreciated the tea and coffee service. Super comfortable bed after a long road trip. Very convenient to the Whole Foods and area restaurants. Incredibly quiet room. Would definitely stay here again!

It was a nice room. Just weird because you have to put all your used linens like towels, wash cloths in a laundry bag given and place it outside room door for next day exchange. Same as garbage. No one goes into your living space to clean.
