In the 4 nights we stayed in early September, we saw, from the large windows of our rooms, clear views of the hills and mountain, starry nights, misty cloudy views and even a lightening show. "Beautiful old village in the gorgeous alps near around Mont Blanc. Beautiful drive up the winding roads. Clean, quiet, lovely friendly staff, easy free parking, in the town of St.-Germain-Les-Bains. The room was huge and had a nice balcony we could look out over another village down in the valley. We did not take the breakfast but it looked nice. We drove 20" to Chamonix to take the gondola (telepherique). Totally worth the ticket price to go to the top! Astonishing beauty and history....

"We loved our stay. The room and all facilities, including the spa, were clean. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We only had the breakfast one day, but it was great, lots of choice and not bad value given the prices in Chamonix. We absolutely loved being able to nip down to the spa every evening and relax following active days. We loved the balconies with gorgeous views. The location was great. We parked in the public parking next door and walked to everything during our stay. We would definitely stay again."

"Check-in time is at 4pm. Staff comes in at that time. Breakfast starts at 8am. The staff that is there to check-in and provide service till 8pm was very helpful and friendly. Rooms are small as it seems to be geared for the skiers. Good location once you get there. Without a car directions are deceiving and the walk is long with trailing luggage. Try to get the bus from the train station which will take you up the mountain (it’s free). This bus can also take you to other near by towns (such as Chamonix)."

"We had a fantastic stay at La Folie Douce in Chamonix. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the town centre and with easy access to the slopes, making it the perfect base for exploring the area. The hotel has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, with great facilities and a lively atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. What really made our stay special was the staff. Every member of the team was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. They always went out of their way to assist with any questions or requests and made us feel genuinely valued as guests. Now that we have stayed at this hotel in Chamonix we wouldnt go to another one and would highly recommend La Folie Douce to anyone visiting Chamonix."

"The views from the hotel are gorgeous. The room is very clean and spacious. The bed is good and the hotel provides towels of excellent quality, fresh and clean. The location is very convenient, the breakfast is excellent and the whole experience is highly recommended. The only down side is that the water pressure in the shower was low, and the fact that toiletries are not provided (we got some upon request). However, as mentioned, we enjoyed our stay very much and will gladly come back."
