The hairdryer had been removed from the bathroom - had to go to reception to request a loan and told to return to reception. "The hotel itself was very good, clean and modern! The only thing that let it down was the restaurant, not much selection on the menu and the chef was vaping in the kitchen on the evening we arrived which we found off putting! Breakfast was disappointing, no clean tables and the staff made no attempt to clean one for us so my daughter cleaned a table! Very little selection of food left! We did arrive towards the end of breakfast 8.30ish, but even so there was no welcome or offer of tea & coffee...

"First of all, the room was not clean, the bed also wasn't clean. There was hair on the sheets and the pillow, which shows that they weren't washed for some time. The room didn't have any shampoo, shower gel and hair dryer and we had to ask for those. No shutters in the room and the curtains wouldn't close completely so you can have a complete darkness (or even partial) in the room. On the other hands the owners / management were very welcoming and helpful when we asked for the amenities."

"This was by far the best hotel I stayed at during my time in France. Honestly the bar was low, since most other properties had plumbing issues, no 24 hour staff, and a host of other things that made this one stand out even more. "Located close to the République Beaux-Arts metro station and a twenty minute walk from Gare de Lille Europe, the hotel is positioned well for those visiting the city and looking to explore. Can be accessed on the 1st floor after entry. Rooms are fairly small with a large bathrooms with fairly modern accessories. Service at the hotel was magnificent, friendly welcome and support for anything you might need at check-in"
