This was an excellent property. Extremely spacious, especially for Japan and very quiet and comfortable. It is in a quiet area but close to restaurants, shops and public transport. Excellent attentive service and a great breakfast.

The staff went above and beyond during my stay! The room was spacious and the hotel location was close to a metro stop, the national garden and a short walk to Nishiki Market. The restaurant had plant based menu items.

Amazing boutique hotel. The staff made us feel important ❤️. Our “suite” was amazing, too bad we were in and about since 6 am, we didn’t have time to enjoy the super large screen movie theater type of living room. An amazing place, we loved every second in The Screen.

Wonderful experience! The room was spacious, modern, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The staff were very kind and helpful. Great location near the Imperial Palace Park and within walking distance to many spots. The hotel breakfast was high quality and very traditional. We would definitely come back!

What a beautiful boutique hotel. Very unique rooms, love the decor. Really felt authentic Japanese with modern flare. Loved the amenities, the breakfast was amazing and the staff is very attentive. A bit of a walk from the closest train station but overall I would stay here again.

Fantastic service and a beautiful space!

The Screen is an amazing hotel! Our room was very beautiful and well-designed. The breakfast was incredibly delicious and the staff thoughtfully accommodated all of our dietary restrictions. Everyone we interacted with was very kind and attentive. The desk staff even gave us dry umbrellas when we came in with wet ones. Fantastic service!! It is very well-located as well. We will stay here again for sure!

Beautiful contemporary hotel with a design aesthetic. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Amazing breakfast. Staff were great and speak English to various degrees. The location, a short walk to the Imperial Palace grounds, is not the most convenient, but a 10-12 minute walk in either direction will get you to a subway stop or local train stop. Taxi service is good and fare is reasonable.

Amazing stay in Kyoto

Prime location across from the Imperial Palace grounds, beautiful room overlooking an ancient shrine, fantastic Japanese breakfast, and the warmest welcome from staff with welcome drinks and gourmet chocolates sent to our room. Large jacuzzi tub with a separate shower and a walk-in closet! We had no issues getting cabs right out front all hours of the day and night. The desk clerk was helpful in making dinner and spa reservations. 5 stars for this beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Kyoto.

We had a great time at the screen in Kyoto. The staff was very friendly and our check-in/check-out was seemless. They even packed us a to-go box on our final day when we had to leave early morning. Tip: all their suites have different designs. The staff was accomodating for us to try another suite, so we got to experience different designs. Much appreciated!
