This has been by far the best Hotel experience on this (our first) trip to Japan, there are not enough stars to give to this place, simply amazing! Everything from the moment that we arrived was extremely great, we are super impressed with everything!

An excellent way to experience a traditional ryokan close to Kyoto. The area is interesting to explore - the bamboo forest is within walking distance. Traditional meals were excellent. A wonderful experience.

This place was a nice retreat for me after spending the majority of the past two weeks in Tokyo and Osaka. It is right next to the train station and a short walk to the sights in Arashiyama. The onsen facilities were very nice.

Excellent experience in a traditional onsen setting. They have both private and public baths to enjoy. Very beautiful hotel with amazing traditional breakfast. Arashiyama area is beautiful with many sights to take in, all within walking distance. Staff were very helpful with all our questions!

very tranquil and beautiful surrounding areas. staff very accommodating-simple traditional hotels everything you need - very relaxing. quite far out from centre of kyoto but that is part of the charm and train/subway so efficient it wasn’t t an issue
