This was the greatest hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my life. The customer service and staff is off the chart, helpful and kind and make you feel like you’re on a luxury vacation. The room was incredible and the bathhouse was really spectacular.
I am torn about writing a review because this place was so amazing and I want to keep it hidden. This place exceeded all my expectations and the location was perfect. The staff were all friendly and went above and beyond. Hands down 5 stars and we will be back.
Michelin rated luxury hotel with a warm comfortable feeling. From the minute you arrive you feel well taken care of by the staff. Great location, great breakfast. Everyone loved the public bath and in room amenities. Would book again if in Kyoto.
Perfect location. Nice clean and very quiet hotel. Try the restaurant next door Tempura Endo - exquisite.
Only downside - regular rooms are super small - we only had carry-ons and backpack and barely squeezed. If you have luggage - get a larger room or you'll be very frustrated. Staff was great.
I had an excellent stay and would definitely stay here again! The room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help whenever I had a question. The location was convenient, with shops and restaurants nearby, which made exploring the area easy. Overall, the property exceeded my expectations and made my trip even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and look forward to returning in the future.
The Kyoto Celestine Gion was delightful. Situated close to the historic epicentre of Kyoto, the rooms are extremely comfortable and very well equipped, its public spaces airy and restful, and its staff attentive and eager to please
Staff was amazing and property was wonderful. Would love to come back and stay longer. Location was excellent as well. Food was excellent and all around amazing hospitality and experience.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Booked our in -room massages with ease. Beautiful hotel in a quiet area next to a temple. However, Happy hour room was hot and packed with loud foreigners. But overall we loved our stay there!
The hotel was well located in the busy Gion area. It was a calm and peaceful and well landscaped. The room cleaning was basic. They changed the towels and made the beds and took out the trash, nothing more. They informed me that the hotel nightly rate dropped but they couldn’t extend the discount. I felt like a lot of Kyoto was a money grab.
