So easy to make a good first impression, and this place failed. Check in was ok, but the room wasnt. No place to put bags, holey bath mat, frayed towels, and no shelf in shower cubical. Also gaps in floor boards and window in bathroom. Pool and dining area was nice, food and drinks okay, but after booking for 5 days we left after 1. The area nearby was lacking.

This is my honest review: Staff = 10/10, Food = 7/10, Homestay = 10/10, Beach = 5/10 The most exciting thing about this place are the view and of course, the swimming pool. Do I recommend this place? Of course, book and stay here, you will not regret.

Nice place

This is a very nice place in a remote location with nothing much to do but relax. If you like that, go here. Nice breakfast buffet. The restaurant is good and pretty, but the only place you can get a drink within a few miles. Get a duty free bottle before you come. The landscaping and pool and beach at the hotel are very beautiful and well maintained, but beyond the hotel the beach is full of plastic garbage. Rooms are not big but big enough with nice balconies with ceiling fans. There is one very busy road. Don't walk along it. We saw crocodiles in the ditch. Staff was very nice as well.

Die Unterkunft liegt ca. 12 km vom Flughafen Kota Kinabalu entfernt. Ein Auto ist ein Muss. Das Resort ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die elektrischen Installationen sind nicht auf dem neusten Stand (Adapter mitnehmen). Der Pool ist sauber, der Strand auch. Das Frühstück ist mittelmässig.

Gelungener Einstieg in den Sabah-Urlaub

Gute Ausstattung mit kl. Kühlschrank, Ventilator und Klimaanlage. Ein weiterer Fan befindet sich auf der Terrasse, was sich als sehr gute Idee entpuppt hat. Pool UND Ozean sind von hier aus zum Morgenschwimmen leicht erreichbar. Für den Zustand des Strandes außerhalb ist das Hotel natürlich nicht verantwortlich. Das beigeschlossene Restaurant bietet gute, auch westliche Speisen und Getränke sowie auch teure Weine an. Frühstück der Region entsprechend: Reis, Nudelgerichte, Eierspeisen, Toast, Würste usw... Leider kein Shuttleservice mehr erhältlich. Nehmen Sie das Taxi vom Flughafen zu RM 40 fix!

從機場搭計程車要40馬幣，離開時櫃台幫忙叫GRAB到亞庀市區只要26馬幣，非常感謝工作人員的熱情幫忙；在這住宿三天充分享受度假氛圍有遠離塵囂之感，渡假村雖有歷史但環境維護相當良好 每天一早人員就進行兩座泳池及草皮等環境清潔維護 海灘乾淨還有鱟魚夕陽美景可賞 很適合辦浪漫沙灘婚禮的處所 其餐點美味便宜 人員服務佳 會想再次入住

Step back in time and space... and relax!

This is a lovely place to stay, it has perhaps seen better days but it is clean, comfortable and so very calm and relaxing. The staff are really lovely, the food is great, we loved the balcony overlooking the sea. We were lucky enough to be there on a Sunday with the fantastic buffet Sunday lunch (roast, yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and pumpkin, great desserts!) and amazing live music. We really enjoyed our stay, it' s a half hour drive to KK and very handy for getting to the airport. And the cheese from their cheese producer is fantastic (brie and feta!)

Good deal for the price

We chose this place because the description said it was on the beach, and the price was cheap. Overall it was a good deal for the money we spent. The beach is a bit of a distance from the chalets and a bit shabby (due to it being a public beach) but could still be viewed from our veranda. The breakfast was nice and they did accommodate us even through we showed up after breakfast time had officially ended. We had dinner at the restaurant as well and it was pleasant enough, there is a nice view of the sea. Major drawback of this place is that it is on the outskirts of Kota Kinabalu therefore it takes extra time and taxi fare to participate in any of the water activities, tours or island hopping that launches from the downtown piers. One personal frustration for me was the weak and intermittent WiFi.

It's on the beach about 15 km south of Kota Kinabalu. It is on a busy road, but it is set back from the road so it is quiet. It is friendly, peaceful, has a beach cleaned of plastic trash, with great views of the S. China Sea. It has 2 nice swimming pools. The food is good.

Hotel is nice, but the area is not

We have spent almost 3 days in the hotel in the beginning of May. It was hot and we spent much time in the pool. Air condition in the room worked fine. Wi-Fi is very slow and unstable. It was not recommended to swim in the sea because of jelly-fishes. I have seen none, but anyway sea is not deep and looks not attractive, and low tide also affects. Beach near the hotel is OK, but left and right there are a lot of garbage. Tiny flies in the sand bites badly - you do not feel them, but after a while notice a spot which irritates. Also moskitos are biting in the evening. There are no places around where you can by fruits or alcohol. There is a nice place to eat nearby - Soka cafe. And also hotel restaurant is nice with a choice of wines, beer and spirits. Hotel is a bit far from KK and everything. For snorkeling it is not an option, better to stay in the center of KK and go by boat to Mamutik or Manukan islands.

Pro-1. Good scenery, beach and island nearby. 2. Clean beach (no obvious trash on the sand). 3. 10min drive from airport. 4. The bar/restaurant lounge is great. Especially the wooden airy ceiling architecture. Con-1. Poor service on the pool. It was about 10am, the main big pool was stil being clean. Should have done earlier, start earlier to get the pool ready for use. 2. Breakfast menu. Should have more meat selection instead of only sausage. 3. Stink smell from nearby septic tank. The whole resort was covered by faulty smell especially when the wind blowing from the beach. 4. Had to re-park my vehicle as it was the owner parking spot. The staff call in twice! It was stil raining ok. Should have put clear signboard on that particular spot.
