"Good hotel stay for Download Festival. Breakfast was nice, though a little cramped for the food stations. Staff could do with some extra training as I had to repeat 3x that I wanted to check out a day earlier, so they could free up the room, as the woman who seemed to be both bar staff and front desk was confused because I wasn't on their system for check in that day. Also weird that despite the booking being under my name, they checked us in using my partner's name which added to the confusion."

"Very spacious apartment with parking space. Everything clean and modern. Just over 5 mins drive from Derby train station. Hassle free check in and check out with key left in key safe box next to door. Great that main bedroom also had en-suite with shower. Easy to control electric heaters in each room. Would benefit from a mirror in the en-suite bathroom and a proper full length mirror somewhere (although there are mirrors on both wardrobes). As a mum and daughter getting ready to go out we would have liked this although wouldn’t stop us from returning."

"Amazingly refurbished hotel back to the period features tha were in place from the original build period. Very traditional decor in keeping with the building and a breath of fresh air when compared to most modern 'box like' hotel rooms that are just built for functionality these days."

"The dining area was clean. The breakfast was nice. The staff were polite and friendly. Our room had water dripping all day and night from the A/C unit, causing a wet patch on the carpet which wasn’t very nice at all. Other than this the room was very clean. Unfortunately the pool area needed a clean and also a freshen up with decor and DIY. The showers were not clean. I was using this facility for the first time and didn’t realise there was no complimentary shower gel in the cubicles."

"I've stayed at this hotel before, and it was a good value once again. My room was clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep. The room's atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, which I appreciated after a long day. The only small issue was that YouTube on the TV was set to Polish, but that wasn't a big problem for me since I know how to use the platform. The key card was a bit tricky to use in the hallway, but the staff helped me sort it out. Breakfast was okay, though the sausages and a temperature probe left in the meat platter weren't as appealing as the other options. The location is great if you want to be in the centre of Derby. It's just a short walk from the train station and only a few minutes to Derbion for shopping or food. Despite being so central, I found the area around the hotel surprisingly quiet at night, thanks to the car park near a Tesco Express, which made it easy to get a restful sleep."

"Had a couple of nights stay at the property for a social event in Derby. Check-in was very easy, as was communication with the host; the property benefits from private secure parking at the rear. Key collection is automated and went without a hitch. The property itself was well appointed with everything needed for a stay and benefits from a nearby shop plus a few pubs within a 5 minute walk. The walk in to town was approximately 15 minutes. Check-out was easy and, again, automated which was good. I would definitely stay again for the right price. The only reason I did not give 5 x stars was due to check out being at 11am (which was fine) but the cleaner entering the property at 10am whilst I was getting changed."

"I stayed the night to attend a local wedding venue. Gemma spoke with me on the phone and patiently answered all of my questions and concerns. When I arrived Jason at the check in desk was so kind and moved heaven and earth to get me a room that was ready so that I could change and leave for the wedding. Both staff members were so kind and welcoming and professional. I couldn’t be happier with my experience."
