"I had a wonderful stay at Kyoto Brighton Hotel. The hotel has a relaxing, resort-like atmosphere that makes it a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing in Kyoto. My room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. I especially appreciated the large bathtub and the excellent selection of bath amenities, which made it easy to unwind and relax. The staff were consistently helpful, courteous, and attentive throughout my stay. Their hospitality added to the overall positive experience. Breakfast was another highlight. There was a great variety of options, and everything I tried was fresh and delicious. It was the perfect way to start each day. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily recommend Kyoto Brighton Hotel to anyone visiting Kyoto."

The spa was a bonus after a day of seeing the sites in the city to help us relax. The terrace offers a great view of the city and the sunset, is a very large space to sit and relax."

"This hotel is a bit far from main attractions but if you are willing to walk or take the bus it’s a great place to stay. The rooms are big and the bed is amazing! The best we had during our stay in Japan. The hotel is close to the Nijo station which is good for some of the sites but most require many changes so we would just walk and enjoy the sites along the way. We also loved the staff and the breakfast was decent. Highly recommend"

"The hotel staff were amazing. They were super helpful and kind. The onsen facilities were very clean and well kept. The onsen was what we needed after long walks. It was very relaxing. They also offered massage services. They had free Ramen in the late evening which was greatly appreciated and free cold refreshments after going to the onsen. This was an excellent stay. I would visit again."

"First, the staff was lovely, kind and very helpful. However, the property was very old, not kept up at all, and very far outside of the city. It’s by a beautiful river, but outside of a seating area, there is no place to walk or enjoy it. The property smells of mold (if you are sensitive, you may need to pass). And there was black mold growing on the tub/shower. The breakfast was a beautiful representation of a traditional Japanese start to the day, however, and we were thankful to enjoy it."
