"This place was great, quiet, clean, spacious. The staff was friendly and professional. The Starbucks was a nice option in a remote area. We would definitely stay again when we come back to Coba."
"Perfect --we walked to the Coba ruins early in the morning along the back road by the lake enjoying the magic. Perfect for two nights. Restful and special. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Copal and I would stay again. The private rooftop pool was really special and the jungle views were amazing. The apartment was well equipped but could do with some more cutlery and a kettle. Before going, I was concerned about the area not feeling safe or being loud with development but this wasn’t the case. The area felt safe and convenient for getting to other parts of Tulum - I saw many women walking their dogs alone after dark. There is work going on in the area but I didn’t hear it and it didn’t affect Copal because of the jungle trees hiding it from view- I’m usually sensitive to this sort of thing. The roads and paths were fine and walkable -even with a pushchair. Nearby park for kids & on street parking readily available outside the hotel. We stayed with our toddler and he loved the main pool downstairs because it had shady parts. If you prefer sun, there is also the rooftop pool - or a private rooftop pool if you choose those rooms (which I thought was well worth it for us with a toddler during nap time). Small gym was helpful. You can rent bikes from the hotel but we didn’t. Overall, I would recommend Copal; it was actually my favourite hotel from our whole trip in Mexico (5 hotels in total). The only thing I would say, at the end of our stay my partner heard someone mention that we could visit Copal’s sister hotel for free. Not sure how true that is but it would have been nice to know since our final hotel was nearby to it. "
"This is hotel is beautiful and healing at the same time. The food was amazing, the drinks were on point, and the staff were GREAT! There’s only a few things I’ll like them to consider adjusting. The pool inside of the room should be heated, and the outdoors shower door should be concealed a lot better to prevent outside bugs from coming in. Outside of that, everything else is on point. "
"Overall, there are likely not enough words to describe our stay at Muare Tulum. If you’re looking for a peaceful, tranquil stay, you will find it here. The rooms were stunning, from the design to the comfort level. It was similar to having your own private oasis, and we enjoyed whenever we returned from an excursion.
Enjoyed the onsite restaurant, and had numerous meals there. The included breakfast was perfect, and there were additional options available for those with a more picky palate.
Overall, the staff were above par. Special shoutout to Mauricio at the bar, who I enjoyed interacting with daily and his recommendations for places to visit in the Tulum. All staff were great and made the experience incredibly enjoyable.
Would certainly stay here again in any future trips.
Only commentary, and this probably applies to Tulum in general, is the high rate of taxi’s and shuttle options. The hotel was helpful in securing a private transfer from the airport which, as a first timer, was appreciated. Taxis charge fixed rates to most Tulum sites, so for myself, I likely will look to rent a car next time to ensure I have more options to explore as necessary. Again, not a reflection of the hotel in any way shape or form, but a general comment to navigating around Tulum. "
