"Excellent location - close to the castle, gardens and fish market as well as the loop bus service. Peaceful and restful hotel, spacious and comfortable room. My only complaint was that the LED light for the air con was way too bright at night."

"This was my favourite hotel so far on my trip. Perfect location, right at the midpoint from The train station and the geisha district, with the markets just a few feet away. This hotel was clean, with friendly staff and great amenities. They even offer a welcome drink! I would definitely stay there again."

"Amazing onsen facilities. They have both private and public bath. Guests can reserve one private bath per night and use public bath unlimited. Their lady public bath has an indoor one and a semi-open one - do try the semi-open one! Lots of fresh air and you can hear the sounds of insects and river. Both breakfast and dinner were wonderful. And make sure to attend the performance at the lobby at night (8:45 pm during our stay). The traditional artist sang a few local traditional folk songs with shamisen. Very peaceful and pleasant experience"

"Delightful hotel, not easy to find though, just know its along the river! Very old fashioned but superbly maintained and its part of the charm. Onsen was fabulous, staff were all ultra accommodating. Organised a massage in my room, incredible. Shout out to Yoko, who looked after me at mealtimes, shes a star!"
