"The proximity to the train was what sold us on this hotel. Just steps away, I worried it would be loud and/or not feel quite safe but I was wrong. Not a worry at all. The staff was wonderful to us, stored our luggage and prepared our room a little early, knowing that we had flown in from the states on an overnight flight. They didn't have to do that but they did with a smile and it was very much appreciated. The only reason I didn't give the hotel a perfect score is because they were renovating, so the entire hotel was covered in a white sheet and the scaffolding (and therefore the workers) were right outside our window, so we had to keep the drapes closed for out entire stay. We didn't spend much time in the room, so it wasn't a big deal. Also, we understood that it was a temporary situation that couldn't be avoided to keep the property looking great on the outside. The inside was impeccable and when you're laying your head down to sleep after a long day of exploring, that's what mattered the most. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"Very nice hotel with large rooms. Beds were great, comfy with space to sit or work at a desk. Very clean hotel in great shape. Staff were very helpful. There is a breakfast for about €16 which we did not use. Be aware rhere is train station access at Bloemendaal Station, one stop past Haarlem Centrale. No need to pay €20 for a taxi from Haarlem Station to the Ibis. It is a 15 min. Walk to the hotel from Bloemendaal Station through a beautiful residential area. We use it daily to get around by train. Also few restaurants in this area, so unless you have a car, be prepared to walk or use Uber Eats. Probably would get a hotel closer to Haarlem in the future but not knocking the hotel. Quite good."

"I thought the Hotel was overall very good. It is very well located less than 5 minutes from Haarlem Station. You can be in Amsterdam in 15-20 minutes with no trouble. Haarlem is also a lovely town in and of itself. The room is generally well kept. The ceilings are very high and I did notice a lot of dust on the higher sections of the wall. Not a knock, but a recommendation. We had the breakfast one day and while good, we were never approached for the fresh prepared waffles/omelets offered as part of the buffet. The other options were sufficient enough, really good croissants, so I wasnt that miffed, but I thought that if its an offering, the staff really should make sure that the offer is made. Generally, it was a pleasant stay with no issues in a safe area close to everything. I would definitely stay again, but those are some observations that could improve in the future."

"Nice location right on the Quay, and 5 mins from the old town & port. We asked to drop luggage off before checking in (ferry arrived at 1000), but the staff went above and beyond and had our room ready early. That was a really nice touch. The bus stop is 2 mins walk, and from there it is very easy to connect to Amsterdam, Haarlem & anywhere else you can think of."

" The hotel is overall okay for the price, but there are a few things to be aware of. The rooms are a bit outdated and could be cleaner – there was some dust, and the bathroom door paint is peeling. The walls are quite thin, so it can get noisy. Especially in the afternoons when tour buses arrive, it becomes quite loud and sometimes continues into the night, which affects the overall calm atmosphere. On the positive side, the parking is a big advantage – it’s included, located directly in front of the rooms, and monitored by cameras, which makes it feel safe. The hotel is also located in a quiet, forest-like area, which is nice. There are shops and a city center nearby. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but you can easily order food like pizza. We didn’t end up taking the train to Amsterdam because getting to the station requires a bus and the total cost for multiple people becomes quite expensive. Overall, for the price, it’s acceptable, but there is definitely room for improvement. I recomend"
