"Check in was efficient and friendly, that’s where the positives end. Room we were given initially was smelly. Had a terrible smell of the drains. Was given another room, which was better. Had a night, woke up after the worst nights sleep, in what should have been a double bed, but was actually 2 singles pushed together. Bathroom has a window that is visible from the corridor outside where you can see directly into the shower. Security guy blowing his whistle from the early hours wasn’t ideal. There was no patio or outdoor seating, though there was large doors to open, with a view through some prison type screening. Breakfast was just ok, nothing special or memorable. We checked out after one night in the hope of finding a restful night"

"Arrived early to check in, room wasn’t ready. Went out for the day, was told we would be contacted when room was ready. Returned at 21:15, still no contact. Was escorted to our room to find out wasn’t the room I had booked ( first floor, instead of pool accessible). Informed reception, no rooms of that standard available, was upgraded to a private pool room, which was nice. The room itself was just ok, nothing special. Went into the bathroom to find a huge cockroach and a couple of geckos. Breakfast was just ok, nothing special. Location: there’s nothing worth noting in the vicinity, you would have to get a taxi if you wanted to find some atmosphere. I would not return"

"This was our fourth stay for myself and my son at the Mercure Resort Sanur for another fantastic family holiday. The hotel and rooms are clean with ample amenities and comfy beds. The gardens are stunning, strolling out from your room each morning into them is a real treat and brilliant way to start a relaxing day. There are ample restaurants nearby with loads of choice, even for my fussy 8yo! Each year we come back is better and better, can’t wait to visit again!"

"Lovely staff. Good food and drinks from the beach bar. Comfortable bed. The room was not very well lit- there is no light on the roof over the bedroom. Juice at breakfast was very artificial. Some amenities feel old and run-down. Staff were not very responsive when I was trying to message and call via WhatsApp in an emergency, but did help me with my issue once I did manage to make contact. The hotel is near the end of the Sanur strip- I would have preferred to stay further up"

"Really lovely resort on a nice clean beach. Room was excellent with a massive comfy bed, nice sofa bed on balcony and everything you’d need or want. They provided a lot of complimentary bottled water too. I was only here for one night so didn’t have time to experience a lot of the hotel facilities but the breakfast was great and pool/bar are very nice too. I hope to come back again for a longer stay. "

"Rooftop pool was excellent if under used during our visit. Breakfast was good at best. Staff members were as nice as nice could be."

"Sudamala is a fantastic place to stay. The staff are so lovely and accommodating, the resort is clean and well maintained, the food is EXCELLENT. My partner and I have found our forever accommodation. We extended our stay and cancelled our next place so we could stay here longer."

"Lovely hotel at a reasonable price. The staff were wonderful with a special mention for Diwa and Mirah on reception. They were wonderful when the aircon in our first room was leaking, we were upgraded to a junior suite. Breakfast was good and varied. Overall a good stay and we would definitely stay again. "

"We just got back from staying at this villa on our trip. Even before got there the host was very nice and responsive. Then the moment we got there till the time we left all the staff were helpful, wonderful and outstanding. The place was exactly the way it is shown on their site. Our meals were made completely fresh. We would definitely recommend this villa and will definitely come back. Thank you again! :) "
