Unquestionably a most comfortable and relaxing place, Hoàng Dung Hotel and Apartments is well managed and maintained. It is located by Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City borders which are now part of the Ho Chi Minh Municipality.
I stayed there from September through 19 November 2025. Felt completely at home. I love cooking and had the necessary utensils and facilities. The surrounding area is filled with small retail outlets including a multitude of “hole-in-the-wall” eating places serving a variety of Vietnamese cuisine. Vegetable, fruit, and meat (chicken, beef, pork, and fresh seafood) market 2-3 minutes walk away. I rated location lower due to, ironically, limited dining options since the area restaurants do not compare to the varietal offerings in Ho Chi Minh City proper, including international cuisines, not to mention a wider Vietnamese variety. Fortunately, the City is close by though traffic makes it seem worse than Manhattan at times.
There is no doubt that I would stay at this outstanding hospitality place should I be in the area again. The staff, by and large, does not speak English but that didn’t deter any of us from communicating freely with each other.
As a one-time short-term vacation rental “offerer,” in a Maryland suburb of Washington, DC, I am thoroughly impressed with the conviviality and genuine hospitality of the entire staff, from security guards to front-and-back office. My special thanks to Ton, the very energetic and wonderful fellow.
