Ashbourne

"Excellent place to stay with a family, our 3,6 and 11 year olds loved the outdoor spaces, the gardens and play areas are fantastic and the lounge areas are also great for families. The room was a good size and the dining room had great food at decent prices, esp as kids eat for £1! You can walk directly from the hostel to many different paths into countryside or dovedale. Our family loved this place, I highly recommend it."

Top Heart of England Hotel Reviews

International Hotel Telford

10/10 Excellent

"This Hotel does everything right. Firstly it's location is right next to Telford International Centre for conferences and exhibitions. Secondly it's a maximum 10 minutes walk to the South water development with a range of restaurants, Bella Italia etc, pubs, Hungry Horse, and entertainment Cineworld, Bowling Alley and more. It's well designed and easy to get to on foot( if the gate at the hotel is not closed you can cut across the Telford International Centre car park, making it even quicker). Staff were brilliant. Room was excellent heating worked. Breakfast was great. Price brilliant. It was a perfect base for our trips around the area for National Trust properties and we will certainly return to. The Olive restaurant is in the hotel next for evening meals. Telford surprised us. The Hotel was warm, friendly, great staff, and we will be going back. Thoroughly recommended."

The Grand Hotel Birmingham

10/10 Excellent

"A beautiful hotel and great spot in Birmingham. It was a lovely spacious room, spotlessly clean, with a fabulous view of the cathedral. The cocktail bar was very pleasant for drinks in the evening. We didn't eat at the hotel, but there are lots of great food options right on the door step. Would stay again and have recommended it to friends."

The Arden Hotel & Leisure Club

10/10 Excellent

"While in some respects some might consider the rooms a little “tired”, there is a great feel in this hotel. The room and rooms are clean and have a great atmosphere. The bar, restaurant and breakfast room all have their own individual characters and while not perhaps in a modern style, I personally loved and will be happy to return in the future. I particularly liked the quality and range of the restaurant menu but there is also a separate bar menu."

Walton Hall Hotel & Spa by Sunday

8/10 Good

"We had a superior room in the Manor House. It was really big, comfortable and clean with excellent countryside views. Site has plenty of free parking. Breakfast both mornings was good. And evening meals were tasty and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. Spa was great. Only negative was the bar closed at 10.15pm on Saturday night - the young lady did give us a last orders warning, but it's not what you expect."

Novotel Birmingham Airport

10/10 Excellent

"I want to give a huge shout out to the Front Desk staff member - Ali. We had some issues with our check in and it was just me and my 2 small Kids travelling. It was 2am after a long delayed flight. He understood the situation and quickly got us a room. He was the best. This man needs a raise or promotion or whatever."

Holiday Inn Express Burton Upon Trent by IHG

10/10 Excellent

"What a lovely surprise this hotel was. Such a change from the tired interiors of many on the booking sites. Clean, warm and very comfortable. Reasonable car park fee, staff extremely helpful and welcoming and breakfast was very good and included in the price. Will definitely return"
