Hawaii Island hotel rooms a the Pacifica Hotels

"There was a medium size cockroach inside the bathing tub and it was very stubborn to get rid of it. The front office lady blabbered something in her own accent was very hard to follow. Parking was a nightmare. You should know some gymnastics and know how to come out of the car after you parked in the tight spot. It's highly possible your car will get stuck and damaged. Good thing is it's nearer to the airport and restaurants. "

"Beautiful property w/ amazing views. However, too spread out and required A LOT of walking, including considerable use of stairs. This was due to the elevators not connecting to all areas of the resort, the tram running very sporadically, and the canal boats being out of order. Also, the pool area offered very little natural shade and there were no umbrellas. There were a ridiculous amount of blue lounges w/ canopies, but they were only available to rent for an additional $150/day. Not surprisingly, most of these blue lounges were left vacant. Was also disappointed with the fitness facilities. Found two separate gyms; both were small and very, very dirty and one had really outdated equipment. Finally, our room was decent and had great view overlooking the dolphins and the bay, but its condition was below what we'd expect for a Hilton: stained/worn carpet, peeling wallpaper, bent and barely functional shades covering the sliding glass window. Overall, good but not great."

"The hotel is awesome beach lagoon pools and spa. The room was very spacious, loved everything food is pricy. "

"It was not the best when we arrived the staff was not very friendly and I felt like I was bothering them. I said hello to a lot of staff who completely ignored me it was uncomfortable and our room had toenail clippings it was a less then desirable experience, before you book here look somewhere else."

"We stayed 4 nights, the hotel missed 1 day house keeping. I like the swimming pool but the water was not circulated enough. Breakfast has pancake and a variety of breads, and hearty, hot and cooked eggs, bacon etc. Very close to shopping, ABC and restaurants. 9 minutes walk to the beach where we could see many fish when swimming. We also joined the submarine tour, not only seeing many fishes under the sea, 2 dolphins followed our shuttle boat. "
