Hotels near Happy Warrior Playground

"Rooms are dated. Fixtures were rusty and broken. Can't close bathroom door with the shower mat down. A/C malfunctioned leaving room either freezing or 87 degrees. Lobby needs a remodel to tear out the old bar which isn’t functional. Rooftop pool is tiny. Gym is small and outdated and was randomly closed. Ventilation system needs a thorough cleaning. Staff tried to be professional, but security burst into our room at 11:58pm to investigate a "noise complaint" that was my kid's white noise machine trying to drown out street noise. No call. No knock. Just burst in the room giving my kids a fright and nightmares. Location is about all it has going. "

"I have always stayed at the Hotel Edison when traveling to NY. Marco - at the front desk is amazing…he remembers his returning guests and treats us royally. If it wasn’t for Marco I would try different hotels. Yes - the rooms are starting to get tired but the location can’t be beat. Thank you for a wonderful stay."

"Very kind front desk staff, but all else is mediocre. Elevators need service, rooms are cramped, towels are paper thin, cracked paint, and bad water pressure. Front desk let me check in early and check out was easy, but I would be hard pressed to stay here again. "

"Our suite was perfect, spacious separate sitting room & impeccably clean. We had the breakfast package, Le Matin is a WONDERFUL restaurant. So glad we opted in for breakfast, we had a delicious and leisurely start to our day. The immediate neighborhood is very nice, lots of families and quiet. The Lucerne team was kind and professional, we arranged airport transportation thru the doorman. Couldn't have asked for a better stay and experience. We will definitely be returning. "

"This was my third time to stay at the Park Central. I love how easy it is to get around to a lot of places from there! There’s a subway station right around the corner, plenty of places to eat, and it’s only a short walk to Times Square! The staff is always so nice, the rooms are very clean, and this time I think they waived the resort fees! 10/10 would stay here again. "

"The room was cleaned with fresh towels everyday. The staff were very kind and friendly. The room had a broken mirrored door and the bath/shower kept clogging. But these are all fixable things. Unfortunately our neighbours were smoking weed so them stench of that was not ideal, especially with a teenager who has severe asthma, but this is not a reflection on the hotel. Shower gel shampoo and conditioner was provided. Hairdryer provided. No hot drink facilities which was the only disappointing part for me. There is no fridge but there is an ice bucket with an ice machine on the floor to fill and keep drinks cool. There is a deli across the street which sell coffee for $2.50 so again, not a huge concern. The property is in an EXCELLENT location. I would 100% stay again. "
