Top Great Seige of Malta and the Knights of St. John Hotel Reviews
The Westin Dragonara Resort, Malta
10/10 Excellent
"This was truly one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional - every single staff member we encountered was genuinely warm, welcoming, and attentive. They were especially kind to my son, greeting him with a high five each day and making him feel so special, which meant a lot to us.
Our room was beautiful - spotlessly clean, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, with one of the best beds I’ve slept in. The food throughout our stay was outstanding. My only regret is not choosing the half-board option - I definitely will next time.
We came on this trip to relax and unwind, and this hotel was perfect for that. It offered everything we needed - stunning pools, a peaceful private beach, excellent restaurants, a lovely playground, and a kids club. But above all, it’s the staff that truly set this place apart. The level of service we received was second to none and left a lasting impression.
I couldn’t recommend this hotel more, and we’re already planning our return visit!"
"Situated in a lovely quiet area of Valletta but close to the town and restaurants and the sea front.
Staff just wonderful especially thanks to the lovely receptionists and Winnie and also the hard working waiting staff serving the most amazing breakfast.
The room was large and lovely but sadly window was tiny with a view to the lower store area but some rooms did have balconies.
The roof top pool and bar was a joy.
If you stay in Valletta I recommend this hotel it’s amazing. "
"This hotel really was grand. Its location was within walking distance to Valletta and public transport. Plenty of room to park your hire car if needed. The complex was massive with a beautiful pool and other amenities. The staff were so lovely and very approachable. I would recommend this gorgeous hotel to any one planning a stay in Malta. "
"Excellent location in the heart of Valletta, close to the main areas but far enough to get a good night’s sleep. Amazing professional and knowledgeable staff - each one going that extra mile to help. In particular huge thanks to Patrica & Daniel and the front of house team, and to Manisha & her team (breakfast team) for making our stay memorable! The view from room 601 is amazing! If there was a negative or two (& these are niggles) it would be the lack of a bar in the evenings, the curtains in the room were dated and the bed was not fixed into position! "
"The service was excellent from the very start. Shortly after we completed the online booking, the hotel reached out to confirm our arrival time and offered to arrange a taxi if needed.
When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with drinks, and since the previous guests had already checked out, we were able to check in early. The staff were outstanding throughout our stay—exceptionally friendly and a pleasure to interact with.
The room exceeded our expectations—much better than what the online photos had suggested. We were given a complimentary drink each evening too.
The location was ideal, just a short walk (under 5 minutes) to the heart of Valletta. Bus 133, which stops just around the corner from the hotel, made it easy to get around central Malta as well.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Malta.
Attached is a photo capturing the stunning sunset from the hotel’s rooftop bar."
"Lovely, clean, classy boutique style hotel within a historical building. All of the staff were fantastic and made our stay feel as though we were staying with good friends. The owner has a wealth of knowledge about Malta and the best attractions to see as well as suggestions of the best restaurants at reasonable prices. The hotel is also perfectly situated for exploring Valletta on foot. The owner and all of the staff worked hard to ensure that our stay was a memorable experience and we were made to feel valued and special."
