Hotels near Granary Square

"First time staying at The Standard and it was far from that. The brutalist architecture was breathtaking, the staff friendly and accommodating, the decor is very tasteful. Food choices we found to be a little limited, but then we were eating late, so a lot of stuff had shut for food service. We wanted to try Sweeties, but it was closed for a private function, and we hadn't been made aware off. Drink prices are a little expensive, even for a central London hotel, food is extremely expensive, and to be fair, from our experience, was not up to the standard you would expect. I certainly wouldn't be having breakfast there again. Overall, an amazing experience, I would just eat elsewhere, and there is a lot of choice around!"

"Great budget hotel right across from St. Pancras/Kings Cross station which is super convenient. Shared showers/bathrooms were nice and we never had to fight for a spot. Only con is that if you're not on ground level the stairs are very steep so be wary if you have a lot of luggage"

"The room was very clean and the staff were friendly and nice at check in. Something to be aware of - the noise from the street was quite loud during the night. However I travel with earplugs and was expecting that in a hotel so central in London, so it didn’t cause me any major issues. The heater also wasn’t very warm but the room wasn’t super cold without it. The location is great, a very short walk to King’s Cross, and about a half hours walk into Soho/the west end if you’re in town for theatre!"

"The room itself was clean but there was a wet towel left in the shower and the mini bar was also not cold so we couldn't have anything from it as it was all warm. We did tell Reception and they said they would send an engineer to the room to fix it but they didn't. That was disappointing, as was the wet towel, I wouldn't expect that in a hotel of this calibre."

"The hotel was clean and looked nicely renovated. My main problems were the mattress was springy and soft. The walls were also very thin, so you can hear everything including footsteps from room above and snoring from room next door (not joking!!). I stayed only for 2 nights and it was convenient to be close to Kings Cross."

"Lovely stay! Friendly staff and fantastic location! Great breakfast! Bus stops are steps away and can connect you throughout central London. London Underground is also across the street and well as St Pancreas International. We did not require car transfers, simply walked and took transit, to from the hotel/ airport. "
