"This was a very friendly place with nice food. It is on a very busy main road so opening windows at night is noisy. Bathroom needed a good clean and some maintenance, new grouting also some hooks would help in the bathroom."

"Beautiful location with large rooms looking over Grassmere lake. The decor is clean fresh with great choice of colours. Super king bed was very comfortable and room temperature perfect. The artwork on all the walls is enjoyable and like being in a private gallery. Staff were all very informative and friendly, Ronny in the restaurant was particularly great. The food choice for breakfast is plentiful and although dinner menu small the food is beautifully prepared and presented. My only personal comment is that it would have been nice to have included a side of vegetables in the price rather than as an extra. Housekeeping spot on. The spa is spacious with thermal pool ( not really for swimming) sauna and steam room . Lovely after a day of activities. The grounds are well maintained and terrace provides a sunny location to relax and enjoy the views, or if feeling active you can access the lake for a cold water dip or launch your kayak ."

"We found the room and hotel to be quite dated Carpets were dirty and towels had marks on them. We never felt clean during our stay here. It was our first trip to the Lakes and we have been put off returning because of it."

"First time to Grasmere and had a lovely time. The room was luxurious and welcoming, would have been happy to stay in the whole time! Random huge bottle of gin was definitely unusual. Restaurant was great, really couldn’t fault anything about the hotel or the experience."

Afternoon and evening food was also of good quality as was the bar selection. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and dealt with any help we required. I would definetly stay in this Hotel again.
