We had a fantastic stay at Crow How! The property is in a gorgeous location, the staff are amazing, friendly and accommodating. Our bedroom and bathroom was so comfy, and nicely decorated with space for everything without feeling cramped. We would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect ! Stayed for 2 nights. The house is very spacious, clean and welcoming. It's 10 mins walk from the town, just far enough to be convenient but also feel like your in the middle of nowwhere when relaxing in the garden. Would highly recommend

Iconic stay in the heart of the Lakes

A truly evocative stay, in the heart of the Lakes & so convenient to both amazing walks and Ambleside. Iconically old fashioned, but everything is to an amazing standard. Breakfast is all fresh & local. It might be a great side if they offered (pre-booked) packed lunches?

Fabulous Lake District find

Fabulous location with lovely walks in many directions right from the doorstep. Nice room with great en-suite and lovely Bath House toiletries. Delicious breakfast with lots of choice and the hot selection was really well cooked. Friendly and efficient staff - would definitely recommend and stay again.

Fabulous hotel in beautiful surroundings.

A fabulous 3 night stay. Beautiful hotel set in 2 acres of gardens with stunning scenery. The hotel was spotlessly clean and was very comfortable. Ideally located just 10 mins walk from Ambleside and 10/15 mins walk from Rydal in the other direction. The free breakfast was of superb quality, with a large choice of food cooked to order . Parking available on site. Staff and owners were very helpful and pleasant. We will definitely return!! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Wouldn’t stay anywhere else!

Absolutely magical stay at Crow How. From check in with the lovely Jill, the spotless, cosy room, yummy fresh breakfast served by the lovely ladies each day, the naughty cat hanging with us every evening and the incredible gardens. Cannot believe no one else made use of them! Perfect location - 15 min walk to Ambleside and easy access to Loughrigg Fell. Loved the little guides in the guest book in the room - we did Loughrigg Fell (4hrs Inc 1/2 hr rest - not 3 hrs suggested but depends on fitness) and the Nine Lakes Drive (6hrs Inc photo stops and beer at suggested Inn)

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Place was clean and our room was spacious. Breakfast was simple and we were well catered for. We were able to park on the morning of check-in, so we could go for a wander and then check-in later. Hotel is an easy 15 minute walk from Ambleside and it's various amenities.
