Our stay at Victorian House was really nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful and our room was very pleasing. The interiors of the house are beautifully curated and we particularly enjoyed being so well located with parking and the lovely breakfast we were served. The only thing that would improve the stay would be new tvs in the rooms but this is minor. We're very much looking forward to returning, excellent stay and great value for money.

The he Victorian House was a delight to stay in, the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were delicious and the rooms were lovely. The property is on the edge of grasmere and is very conveniently located near shops, the bus stop and cafes etc.

A wonderful pet friendly hotel in the heart of Grasmere. It was decorated beautifully, and the room we had was spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious, with a range of cooked options and a buffet style breakfast too (not to mention the dog got a sausage every morning!). Our only feedback would be that our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay, though it was only three nights. It would’ve been good to have the mugs and water jug refreshed, however I’m sure if we’d asked this would’ve happened, as the staff were friendly and happy to help. We would absolutely stay here again.

Dog friendly hotel

Lovely hotel, very helpful and pleasant staff. Room was immaculate and very comfortable. We had our dog with us, who was made very welcome indeed. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choice.

This our third stay at the Victorian House. It’s our favorite place to stay in Grasmere. Staff are always great and were even better this year making for a wonderful stay. We loved the afternoon homemade cake provided this year! Breakfasts are always delicious.

Great hotel

Lovely hotel with a young vibrant feel. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel is in a good central location for exploring the lake district.

The hotel had a lovely atmosphere with well chosen antique furniture. Staff were both helpful, polite and efficient. Happy to help with a last minute change of booking and also room change to allow us a quieter room on our last night. Breakfast was very good with a great range of cereals and fruit. The homemade fruit yoghurt was a nice surprise Locally sourced food was evident in the cooked breakfast. This is a great hotel handily located close to restaurants and shops.

A great break

A fantastic long weekend here. I received a great welcome as I arrived early and wanted to leave my car to go for a walk. Perfect room, just as described. Breakfast was very tasty, lots of choice and promptly served. I had my two spaniels with me and they were welcomed everywhere - sausages on offer at breakfast and kept them quiet.
