This is the best location for the price in Edinburgh. The stairs to the hostel are no joke and that was the only drawback for us. But it was worth it!

Double private room

I was staying somewhere else first but tgat place was horrible. This hotel was great. Amazing vibe, clean, soft bed, quiet and modern. The receptionist was also really kind and friendly. I will definitely come again !

No lift to the upper floors is an issue. Bathroom shared was inconvenient because i go th Bathroom at least twice. However, Location is excellent and the staff are super helpful. They responded immediately.

I never expected that it’s accessible to all the area roaming around Edinburgh I never used of public transportation even though is only 2 minutes besides bus and train stations. Staffs are all friendly.

On s'attendait à une chambre d'hôtel vue le prix et non à une auberge de jeunesse. Le personnel est au demeurant très sympathique mais franchement ce n'était pas du tout ce que nous avions compris lors de la réservation. De plus, payer presque 300€ la nuit pour une auberge de jeunesse c'est simplement hors de prix. On était bien placé et jour de match mais ça ne vaut absolument pas ce prix là. Très très déçue.

Its close to Waverly

Well, its only good point is its close to Waverly. The toilets were clean, shower had just enough pressure to be able to take a comfortable bath. Apart from that I found nothing to mention. The room was extremely small. The staircase leading to the fifth floor can be a horrible experience for some. So if you don't something else, or you got an extremely good deal, then only this is your place !

Friendly, helpful staff and central location.

Excellent location - very central. The many stairs up to the hostel are a slight drawback if you are carrying heavy bags although staff are extremely helpful in every respect and offered to carry my bags down stairs the day I was leaving. Comfortable kitchen. Nice to have breakfast included. Staff were fantastic and looked up bus routes for me and advised me on whether to catch the bus to the festival events etc. Mattresses on bed were a bit saggy.

Can't beat this location

Friendly and helpful staff. They could recommend places to go and things to eat. The shower rooms are shared but there are many bottles of shampoo and body washes left behind from other travelers for new guests to use. Mattresses are from IKEA, and not the greatest to sleep on, but my experience meeting new mates and being in close proximity to everything made my stay here very memorable. Would come back again!

Ubicación y limpieza excelente.

El edificio en donde se encuentra el hostal es horrible, pero una vez en el Haggis todo cambia. Lo mejor es la ubicación y la limpieza en general.

Basic and convenient but need improvement

It's a really basic hostel. I was a bit surprised by the run-down condition of the building at first but the overall stay was pleasant enough. However, the bed condition must be improved. I am very used to hostel bunk beds but this one was exceptionally wobbly. The room is very small so if you get caught up in loud crowd you will suffer. I was lucky enough to stay with quiet, respectful girls. Kitchen and shower is well-equipped and clean and the breakfast is also very basic. If you catch a good deal on price then it's fair value for money. The location is extremely convenient and that alone gives you the reason to try out this hostel.

Clean bathrooms, clean rooms, but the rooms were crammed. Very helpful and friend staff though. Very convenient location, right in city center between Old Town and New Town. Overall good experience

cheap hostel but i paid big money

cheap hostel but i paid big money cuz when i booked this hoster, edinberough was full of tourists. everything was normal hostel. 3rd floor, not clean, small toilet, small bed,... but staff is nice. sonya is her name. she was excellent!! she explained a lot of things about edinberough and tours. and i met good friend in the hostel.

Haggis hostel, perto de tudo

O hostel e perfeito, todos são muitos receptivos, a equipe esta sempre pronta para ti ajudar. A única coisa ruim e os 3 lances de escada que você tem que subir, se você tiver com uma grande mala, você vai passar muito sufoco. O hostel e super limpo, tem uma cozinha equipada com tudo, caso você queira fazer sua comida no hostel.
