"Very friendly welcome and a nice meal on my arrival. Pleased to be upgraded to a private en suite. The staff had turned up the heat in my room which was a lovely thought BUT I couldn’t find a way to turn it down (and I have operated radiators in my time). Room was quirky, which I don’t mind, but one thing I spoils suggest is that the mattress is changed. Way too thin, and definitely not very comfortable! Other than that, it was just what I needed for a quick sleepover before seeing my son the day after. "

"The bedroom had no heating so we had to ask if a radiator could be provided. The bathroom the towel rail did not heat up and was extremely cold."

"Lovely clean country pub with great rooms to a good standard. Never ate dinner here but looking at other people’s meals I wish I had. Breakfast was good. "

"No check in instructions were sent to us and the person (Irene) won’t answer their phone while we arrived, later on she wasn’t even bothered to reply to a text message. I am not a review person, but i wrote this as i was prompted quite afew times. Location is ok."

"The service of the staff was excellent and car parking is free. However, the plug sockets next to the bed required moving the bedside tables, so if you want to use any electrical devices whilst in bed, you had to use the sockets across the room. The toilet positioned in the room were too close to the wall and the handles to open the windows were loose and call fall out anytime. "
