While the building is due for some updates/refurb, don’t let that first impression throw you off - this place is great. I would choose it over any other hotel in the area. Also you cannot beat the location - walkable to everywhere and sits tight on the best portion of the beach. "

"OK, Portland people are just different and I say that in a really good way, but the staff at the Mark Spencer Hotel are really exceptional. The hotel is very nicely located in the middle of everything downtown Portland, so everything you want to do is at walking distance. The hotel itself is just great. I stayed in the master suite and it was just fenomenal. Renovated, nice and super clean. Next time I have the opportunity to go to Portand, I would 100% stay there again,"
