"Overall, a well-positioned hotel with helpful staff. The one issue was the step into the bathroom. It was SO HIGH. SO, SO HIGH. I am almost six feet tall, and so is my husband, and we were astounded by the height of this step. I'm disabled, so I was actually more prepared to take this step carefully, but my husband kept forgetting when he would come out, and he nearly fell multiple times. So, just be super mindful of the step in and out of the bathroom."

"The cafe, restaurant and rooftop bar was perfect for grabbing a bite when tired and not wanting to go out for good food. Breakfast was excellent! Service was outstanding. The room was beautiful, smelled fresh, bed was comfortable, and quiet. No complaints. Love the location!! I’ll be back someday."

"Breakfast was great, varied and tasty. Walkability also great. Location of hotel was excellent, near shops and restaurants. The property was modern, clean and appealing. The rooms were small but nicely designed. Beds were comfortable. However, the service was perfunctory. But for an affordable stay, I would recommend this hotel. "

"Great location. A short walk just outside Kyoto Station. Clean,safe hotel with excellent breakfast and very helpful staff. 711 convenience store in the 1st floor as well. Many Kyoto excursions depart just opposite to the hotel. Short walk to Aeon mall. You would need a very short bus ride from Kyoto station to get to the Gion district. Totally recommended. "
