Walking distance to several restaurants and we started our Japan journey with an easy 2 minute walk to Nijo Castle. The most important factor of this hotel is being centrally located within Kyoto. We were an easy bus ride to all the main sightseeing hotspots (Bamboo forest, 10,000 gates, Golden Temple, Kiyomizudera, Gion), shopping, restaurants and Kyoto Station. Highly recommended! "

"So handy for getting to transport, good food options and close to Nishiki market. Comfortable twin room where I slept well, being 6ft 5 inches I was concerned the bed may not be big enough, but it certainly was. Great AC too."

"The staff was very nice and very friendly and helpful as they all are in Japan. The location of the hotel is very central so we were able to go into different directions for a lot of the tourist attractions that we wanted to hit. The area is safe and quiet and peaceful and right across from the imperial Palace. I liked everything about this hotel, except The pillows The pillows in many hotels in Japan feel like you are sleeping on padded bricks. I am not exaggerating, and I mentioned it to the gentleman in the front desk and he recommended that I wrap the padded bricks with bath towels. Now they felt like padded bricks wrapped with bath towels "
