"We had 3 fantastic stays at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa. Very service minded staff that took good care of us from arriving to checkout. Room was spacious, nice and comfortable - and the hotel has a small rooftop terrace. Area is quiet and nice, but with a selection of amazing small restaurants close by. We will stay here again when we visit Kyoto. "
"The room was huge, brand new and beautiful with incredible amenities, but the service sets apart the Kamo from other hotels. The staff repeatedly went beyond expectations."
"Lovely 100-year old house repurposed as guest house. Modern additions such as air con and shower room added around original building with wooden sliding doors and futon beds. Lovely, helpful owners met us and showed us everything - thank you!"
"The Koubai suite was wonderful. The outdoor bath is very private and peaceful. The bed was extremely comfortable and the private garden was lovely. This is my favourite room in Japan so far!"
"Quite a unique experience with traditional Japanese furniture and room layout. The owner clearly put a lot of thoughts in building out this hotel by integrating modern appliances into traditional Japanese house architecture. Beautifully decorated garden. Staff were super helpful."
"This house was great. Located right next to the palace grounds. Just a walk to some good dining. A grocery store just around the corner. Easy access to bus stops to get around town.
I could not possibly pick a better place to stay.

"This hotel’s location was amazing because of the access to a subway station. Check in and check out were done electronically and went smoothly. A ton of great restaurants were only a few blocks away!"
"The hotel is lovely and staff very friendly. It is in a quiet area with a few places to eat. There is a restaurant which we didn't try. There is a free shuttle bus to and from a subway station which was really useful as the hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the nearest subway stop. "
"My stay at the JUNEI surpassed my expectations. The customer care was amazing. The amenities were bespoke to my needs and the quality of the rooms facilitated the best sleep and relaxation. My advice to family and friends would be to stay at the JUNEI"

"Had such a great stay at Kaya Hotel in Kyoto! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The location made it super easy to get around—close to transport and plenty of great food spots nearby.
The staff were lovely and really helpful with recommendations, which made exploring Kyoto even better. It felt like a mix of modern comfort with a bit of that local charm. Would definitely stay here again "
