"This hotel is older but has been updated. The lobby was very pretty. Our room was very large and smelled good. The air-conditioner was probably the best we've ever had in a hotel room! Breakfast was basic - nothing special. The staff was super friendly and helpful. And, the Old Town Tour Trolley sent their shuttle bus to pick us up and then took us back. We ordered dinner from Carrabba's - delivered by DoorDash - and it was awesome!"

"When went to hotel desk to ask why Pit Bulls allowed in the hotel - the two at the desk dismissed me as if it were nothing more than a poodle, "we let dogs in the hotel"... not sure what worse - being dismissed to point of disrespect or the fact that a large Pit Bull clearly an aggressive one at the allowed to stay in hotel as if that normal ?? I own apartment and we clearly have breeds unwelcome on the property for insurance reasons as well as common sensical ones!!!! Otherwise selling this place as a hotel - when not a full service but that the average for St Augustine, "nice motel" - with exceptional dining and bar staff in the evening, and why chose to stay here at all...!!"

"Property was okay well maintained in prime areas but looking a bit tired in the rooms. Prefer sliding doors vs solid doors to balcony when booking with a balcony and oceanfront or view. Bathrooms for pool area was a portable bathroom. Note: need to do stairs to go to beach area. Tiki bar doesn't have a view of the ocean only a dune."

"I was skeptical at first after reading other reviews but ultimately satisfied with my stay. The property could use some fresh paint and maybe some new landscaping, but those things don’t matter to me. The room was clean, sheets were stark white, bed was comfortable, and the room was great size. The floors looked to be new porcelain tile in wood grain which is great because I hate carpet in a motel. The hot breakfast was good with plenty of room for seating. It’s situated right in the middle of many attractions with a trolly stop right outside your door! The only thing I didn’t like was that the shower pressure was pretty high but I guess that is better than too low."
