"Lovely art deco hotel, Room was clean, but none of the USBs worked, noisy at times, which sounded mechanical. Staff were great, very friendly, plenty of parking too. I would stay here again. "

"The room was very small and dark. The bed was soft and the pillows rock hard. The door wouldn’t lock which as a single woman was very worrying for me. I called reception and was told I could move room but it was 11pm and I was very tired and was undressed. Consequently I had a poor nights sleep as I was worried someone could get in. There was no bedside light so I had to leave my phone on all night. The EV chargers were extortionate. "

"The good bits: Room was a good size, bed was comfy, as we're the pillows and everything was very clean. Breakfast time booked to avoid overcrowding, function room activities couldn't be heard from the bedrooms. Not so good bits: window was edged with green growth externally, bathroom mirror lights not working, dated shower fitting over the bath. Hospitality tray ok, usual choice, breakfast not very inspiring and not very warm. Carpets in communal areas showed signs of damage and were stained in parts. Staff were friendly and helpful. All in all a decent enough place but not overly impressed especially as the pool and spa access is outside the hotel - not great on a cold and windy evening"

"What’s not to like if you want a simple, no hassle, quick check in/out, friendly helpful staff, clean room, good amenities, easy free parking in large carpark, central location in city, good access routes to motorways and plentiful continental breakfast if required as an extra and 24/7 bar if refreshments/snacks are needed. "Rooms were clean and modern and the bed was comfy. However, the off road parking was about 300m in a town car park. The water in the shower was just tepid with no hot water at all in the wash basin taps. After informing the management , i got hot water in the shower but only with the flow lowered to almost a trickle.. I also got tepid water from the sink taps, but it suddenly went cold again halfway through cleaning my teeth. There were also instructions for a coffee machine but no machine and i dont like instant coffee.. I will not be staying there again."
