"After difficulty finding and getting to the barge. (I’d recommend contacting owners - you often need a code for locked gates to get quai side - they don’t give you this information so you need to request it) we found the setting beautiful. Loved the decor in the Art Deco room of the Barge. The hosts provide everything needed, even putting milk, butter and orange juice in the fridge on arrival which was a nice touch. "We had a wonderful one night stay in this beautiful chateaux after finishing up our cruise. The romantic room was gorgeous! Very comfortable bed, beautiful river view. I wish the menu had been bigger but the food was very good. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful."
"The staff are amazing, room and interior are great. The immediate area surrounding the hotel is not great, they need exterior security as there were drunk and aggressive transient folks around the entrances and perimeter of the hotel; making a traveling family feel not secure. "

"This nice and modern aparthotel is well maintained and its location is very convenient as there is a tram station just half a block away. You can be in Bordeaux’s historic center in less than 20 minutes and if you’re traveling to the next destination by train, the train station (Saint-Jeanne) is just half an hour away at just 3.3 Euros per person. I highly recommend this hotel. I would book again. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel so I can’t comment about that. The staff is friendly and they explain well to you what you can do in town. "

Parking is secure (decent size), however the tram stop (Pink line C) is right outside the hotel and it’s a 18 minute journey into the centre of Bordeaux and costs €1.90 pp per way (or €6 pp for 24 unlimited use) - perfect way to travel to see the city -
