"Great location close to the Lido, rooms are very well maintained and spacious. We had a pool and sea view room with a balcony which was great. The breakfast was very varied with an excellent choice and range of food including cereals, fruit, pastries, cold meats, cheese and cooked breakfast options. The reception staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful. Bar staff around the pool were friendly and welcoming. The buffet dinner was also excellent with a good variety of choices. The pool area was very well kept, the indoor pool was quieter and the outdoor pool was busier but we were always able to find a sun bed and it never seemed crowded. Overall it was a great location for exploring the island of Madiera. We would recommend it."

"Beautiful views from virtually everywhere on the property. Great location close to downtown Funchal, but far enough away for the area to feel quiet and calm. Nice restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel staff were excellent! Professional, friendly, and helpful. Received an upgrade at check-in to a fantastic room with an even more amazing private deck overlooking the Atlantic. Buffet breakfast was good. Overall, the property was great, hated to leave."

"We liked the hotel. It is divided into 3 buildings, our was building C which is closest to the pool and breakfast room. The room was of a good size, the view from the balcony, even if it says “partial sea view”, was great. The bed was not comfortable in my opinion. The AC was adequate and water pressure in the shower was good. There is no hair conditioner, no iron in the room. One free bottle of water, but a super market is 5 min away. Breakfast was standard, good choice of food and pastries but the coffee was terrible. There was no coffee making machine, only filtered coffee of a bad quality. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. The pool is heated, some people found it too warm, but we liked it. Plenty of loungers. Gorgeous sea view from the pool terrace. I would stay again."
