The staff here is great. The room was really comfortable with an extraordinarily nice bed. The breakfasts were simple but good. The pools were fine, small, but that was expected at a small boutique hotel. The location is fantastic.

The property and staff were fantastic. The only reason for a 4 star on the property condition is that they were presently doing some maintenance on the property but that didn't get in our way. The staff was excellent and friendly, gave us tips on where to go and provided a laundry service for us. The breakfast was great. I would definitely stay there again.

Incredible stay, location, staff etc

A really lovely stay here. The rooftop pool is wonderful and private away from the rooms. There’s no time restriction on when you can be there so it’s lovely to have a night swim if you like or early morning swim. Location is INCREDIBLE and so perfect for getting everywhere. It’s an intimate yet lovely vibe, with breakfast included being the best arepas we have had on our trip. The staff were like friends- letting us watch how to make arepas with the chef and talking us through how to have them in traditional ways. Overall such a good stay and a huge highlight. Thank you!!

Hard to find on the street. No signage. It’s Nice. Clean. Great bed and sheets. Love the L’Occitane toiletries. TV did not work. Breakfast was just basic toast and egg. Pool on rooftop was dirty and swarmed with birds using it as their pool. If you’re coming back to Upper House after a night of partying, it’s hard to enter the place, they don’t wake up to open the door right away. Nice and helpful staff.

A Boutique hotel right in the heart of the walled City. Staff were wonderful, always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. While some were more fluent in English than others communication was never an issue, and their English was alway a great deal better than my Spanish. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast, it wasn't a large buffet but an option of a North American or Colombian option. Always served with fresh fruit and a large glass of fresh squeezed Orange juice. Breakfast was always served around a large communal dining table. It gave an opportunity to interact with other guests. This was nice and intimate given the small number of rooms in the hotel. We enjoyed our week and would not hesitate to return to the Upper House.

The staff was friendly, the administrator Angel went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. Carmen prepared a lovely breakfast. My only disappointment was that I reserved a deluxe room with a king size bed and upon arrival was given a small room with a queen bed. I had to sleep in the small room the first night. The following day I found out that their was a suit available with a king size bed and I was not offered it the first night. They preferred compromising my comfort instead of having a happy guest. Most unfortunate.
